Expanding its TV portfolio, California based TV Company- Vu Technologies has launched its latest range of affordable smart TVs in the Indian market. The new series - PremiumSmart comprises of four televisions varying between screen sizes from 32 to 55-inch and aims to offer entertainment with social networking capabilities at an affordable price-point.
Commenting on the launch, Ms Devita Saraf, CEO and Design Head - Vu Technologies said, "Although traditionally, TV has been referred to as the Idiot Box, we were curious to discover how we may smarten up the same. The curiosity led to the creation of PremiumSmart TV with Quad-core Internet video processor, providing excellent entertainment services."
Vu is focusing on the content ecosystem and has equipped the TVs with an in-built gaming center, a remote control with a dedicated shortcut button to Netflix and YouTube, which will allow users to switch over in an instant. As noted, Netflix is the best all-round streaming service for TV and movies and the integration of the service can manage to lure consumers who wants to enjoy latest movies and TV series on their TV sets.
The latest TVs comes equipped with in-built Wi-Fi functionalities, HDMI ports, Screen Sharing facilities, USB ports, MHL and DLNA features. The television sets are powered by the quad-core internet video processor and features offer on-demand video channels such as YuppTV, RedBull, Kidoz and Tedx, etc. Users can also connect to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other online services with the help of built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
The company has joined hands with Flipkart to exclusively sell the new Smart TVs and the e-commerce portal is also offering additional 3% discount on 32-inch and 40-inch variants.
